Scrapbooking with Stampin’ Up Products!

Do you scrapbook your photos? Do you scrapbook events in your life? Do you scrapbook the kids or the grandkids…depending on where you are in your life? I made my first scrapbooks (I made four – one for each year of college) in a big spiral-bound books (probably 12 x 12 with plain gray paper) in college. I had them for many years and think I still have one or two of them. It’s fun to look back on those and remember my time in college. Amazing how quickly you forget but bringing the memories back is so much fun.

Stampin’ Up has the most amazing papers, DSP (Designer Series Paper) that can make AMAZING scrapbook pages. I’m going to be posting some photos of the pages I make (no photos included) every now and again. Here’s one I made today. None of this is glued down yet so perfectly set on the page.

I will mostly post 12″x12″ pages. I start with a 12″x12″ page of DSP, cut a strip of coordinating DSP at 2.5″ x 12″. Place that coordinating strip on the left or right. I then used a full page (8.5″x11) of basic white, on the other side. The FANTASTIC thing about 12″x12″ pages that if you have a 12″x12″ photo frame you can post the layout for a few days or weeks till you do a new one and then put the old one in the scrapbook and display the new one in the frame(s).

In this case I cut photo frames in black (4.25″ x 6.25″) to hold 4×6 photos. If you use some other size of photos just add 1/4″ of an inch in each direction and cut your frame layer. Move the elements around until you find the layout that works for you. It probably goes without saying but the frame for your photos can match the page I just use black because that’s what I have. I also included a couple of 3×3 photo frames so cut them 3.25″ x 3.25″.

For best results I usually cut the frames and maybe even a couple of extra ones and BEFORE gluing anything down I start playing with the layout. If you want a stamped sentiment somewhere on your page be sure you account for that in your layout. Or if you want to include a name like I did on these pages stamp, punch or cut-out so you also place it around on the layout, too.

Also stamp your sentiments either on a piece of card stock to move around when you’re playing with layout and then either use that OR be sure to stamp before you glue it down so if you mess it up you can turn your page over and use the back.

For this layout I used Covered In Sunshine Stamp Set and Alphabest Stamp Set along with the Best Label Punch seen above in the photo.

Occasionally I Use Items Stampin’ Up Doesn’t Carry

There are times when I use an item that isn’t carried by Stampin’ Up. Yes, of course, I sell Stampin’ Up and LOVE our products but once in a while I find something that we don’t carry but I love it. When I do I’m asked about that product. I am happy to share what it is and why I use it. I have saved a list on Amazon (though you don’t have to buy them there, of course). That list is here: Amazon. Feel free to reference the list and buy wherever you find them.

This is a link to the list on Amazon. I have listed the glue eraser, ink eraser, the fingernail polish organizer (in which I store my punches – see the organization video on YouTube if you’d like to see it in use).

I will continue to update this list as I use items and find them helpful. One item on the list is pins. I use those pins for the Art Glitter Glue with the metal tips also listed. It’s hard to find rust-proof pins (not nickel plated which rust) so you want stainless steel pins if you’re going to use them as a stopper for your glue.

Rising Prices

None of us like rising prices but it’s a fact of life, especially these days. The following price increase (below) isn’t that bad. Colored cardstock is only going up by 75 cents. Now if you’re buying enough to completely restock your stash that adds up in a hurry but with only a packet every month or so, truly it’s not that arduous. And white and thick white cardstock are only up 25 cents. Envelopes are up a dollar so that’s not fun but they’re reasonably priced so not so bad. Anyway, these are just my thoughts but I thought you should know. And below is a listing of the price changes you’ll see in a little over 2 weeks.

Features of My New Website

I’m so glad you’re here. I’m listing a few of the new features so if you’d like you can click on each of the “pages” above or things in the sidebar to the right and check them out for yourself. Try things out, if you would, and let me know if you find any problems. THANK YOU!!

I will be posting tutorials (see the Page listed above – Tutorials)! None are there yet but I’ll have them as soon as I can.

Note the listing on the right side column for Host Code! The Host Code will always be listed there for the current month, I will even include the month so you’ll know you’ve got the correct month. For example, it’s 7 AM on the first, did I already post the new month or are you seeing the past month’s code. This way you’ll know!!

I will always post the new Paper Pumpkin information under (you guessed it) Paper Pumpkin in the menu bar at the top! Clever, huh! Just a note on Paper Pumpkin – each sales period is from the 11th of the month to the 10th of the following month. You MUST purchase by the 10th of the month at midnight. This is a subscription program so if you want to be billed automatically! You just order and then you’ll be billed the $24.95 each month but you may, at any time, pause or cancel your subscription. Alternatively, you can buy a multi-month subscription and save, shipping is always included. You can also return, unopened, any box you’re not happy with.

FOLLOW me on this website. If you’d like to follow my website, please click the Follow StampinWithPatricia blue button on the right side column. I’d love to have you do so and get your comments on how it’s working.

To find my latest YouTube the very first button on the right is clickable.

And you’ll also notice that another menu item at the top is YouTube. I’ll post most if not all videos there. The only ones I won’t post will be subscription videos.

One last thing, I’d absolutely love it if you shared my website with your friends, on FB, and wherever you think friends and family might like to check it out.

Thank you so much for visiting and things will continue to grow so come back whenever you can!!!

Why Would You Want to Become a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator?

There are probably as many reasons be become a demonstrator as there are people who do it! Let’s explore some of them.

Probably one of the most popular and universal is so you can get a discount on your supplies. As soon as you sign up to be a demonstrator you qualify for a discount. Makes it so much easier to get your supplies.

Another popular reason is to get your supplies before others. Anytime we have a new catalog (annual or mini) we have an option as demonstrators to get our supplies a month earlier than a regular customer. This may or may not appeal to you but to so many of us we get to play before anyone else and it’s just FUN!!

Some really want to earn an income from those who purchase from them. If you buy from me, I earn a bit from what you buy and if I have quite a few who buy from me, I might even be able to buy my supplies from that or at least partially cover what I buy. It’s like any business the more you put into it the more you get from it. I LOVE having a business that I can do “on the side” and earn a bit to cover my costs.

So, so many of us love to be demonstrators because of the community. We get to meet people who like to do what we like to do. We grow our group of acquaintances by attending events, maybe having our own events (workshops, etc.) and on Facebook, and other social media.

Earning trips! This is a fantastic benefit of being a demonstrator. You may or may not earn this benefit right away but it is a benefit that is available to those who want to work toward it. I haven’t earned a trip yet but I am working on it. We can work together to get there.

SOOOO, how do you start? To start you go through any current catalog, and select up to $125 worth of product. Once you have your list go here to start your application. You will want your card to charge the cost of $99. Immediate benefits are FREE shipping, a FREE Paper Pumpkin kit, all your initial business supplies including current catalogs, hostess packet, and more!!

What is your reason for joining? If you have questions, need help getting started, want to discuss why it might be for you please leave a message, go to our FB page, or go to the contact me page.

Sincerely, Patricia

Hello to all my Stampin’ Friends!

Welcome to all of you! I’m truly so glad you’re here on this journey with me. Whether you’re new to Stampin’ Up, new to my website, new to stamping or whatever, I’m just thrilled to have you join me.

If you’re coming from my previous website I’m happy you found the new location. I would love to have you all sign-up for my newsletter which I usually send once or twice a month. I do not spam you with it and the only time I send it more often is if I have company updates, sales, or other information you may need. I am HUGELY involved right now in completely revamping the entire website so things are in flux. If you come back tomorrow or next week things will likely look very different. When I feel I’ve got a handle on the updates I will have a big OPEN HOUSE but in the meantime look around with what little there is at the moment, come back later to sign-up for the newly revamped newsletter, and tell me what you think of things so far, share my site with friends and family, and just have fun.

Right now Stampin’ Up is in the midst of saying goodbye to the old Annual Catalog 2022-2023 and hello to the new Annual Catalog 2023-2024. If you have purchased from me in the last 6 months, no worries, you will be getting your new catalog in the next month before they go live on May 2nd, 2023. If you have not purchased from me in the last 6 months, intend to do so and would like a catalog, feel free to leave a comment below, email me (see ABOUT ME) or go to Facebook, and either message me or leave a comment there.

My sales site is: StampinWithPatricia.StampinUp.net!

Eventually, I will have tutorials, share links to my YouTube videos, Stampin’ Up updates, sales specials, etc. So come on back in a few days and see what’s new.
